On-grid Solar
The cheapest unit you will ever buy is the one your own roof makes.
Grid-tied rooftop solar with net-metering. No batteries to buy, no fuel to burn: solar carries your daytime load, the meter runs backwards with the surplus, and the grid stays as your night-time supply.

Who it's for
The default choice for a roof on a working feeder.
If your machines run while the sun is up and your utility supply is reasonably stable, net-metered solar is the shortest route to a lower cost per unit — no batteries, no fuel, no moving parts above the inverter.
Losing production to load-shedding? Add storage and the same array becomes a hybrid plant.

How it works
Solar serves the load first. Only the surplus goes to the meter.
Every unit you consume on site is worth your full tariff, so we size around your own load curve before we count on export.

Day
Solar covers the load; anything left over is exported and credited.
Night
The grid supplies you as it always did — you pay only net units.
Outage
The inverter disconnects within 2 seconds, as anti-islanding rules require.
Net-metering
Net-metering in Bangladesh
Under the SREDA Net Metering Guideline, grid-connected rooftop systems can export surplus to DESCO, DPDC, REB/PBS and other distribution utilities, with exported units netted against imports on your bill. System capacity is generally capped at 70% of sanctioned load. We prepare the application, single-line diagram and metering paperwork.
- 01
Step 01 · Week 1
Feasibility & sanctioned load check
We confirm your sanctioned load, tariff category and the 70% capacity cap before sizing anything.
- 02
Step 02 · Week 2–3
Application to the utility
Net-metering application with single-line diagram, layout and equipment datasheets, filed on your behalf.
- 03
Step 03 · Week 4–8
Technical review & agreement
Utility review, site inspection and the net-metering agreement signed with the distribution company.
- 04
Step 04 · Week 6–12
Installation & commissioning
Structure, modules, inverters and protection installed, then tested against IEC and utility requirements.
- 05
Step 05 · Week 12–14
Bi-directional meter & energisation
The utility replaces your meter, the plant is energised, and export starts netting against import.

Economics
Where the money comes from
No battery means the lowest capex per kWp of any rooftop route — and with most units consumed on site, every kilowatt-hour offsets the tariff you pay today.
Indicative for a 500 kWp net-metered system on an industrial tariff. Your assessment models your own bill, load curve and roof.
Estimate your own numbers| System size | 500 kWp |
|---|---|
| Annual generation | ≈ 650,000 kWh |
| Self-consumed by the plant | ≈ 85% |
| Indicative capex | Tk 2.75 crore |
| Annual saving | ≈ Tk 78 lakh |
| Simple payback | 3.5 years |
| 25-year net saving | ≈ Tk 16 crore |
