1. The challenge
Three sheds, 212,000 sq ft of corrugated roof, and six to nine hours of monthly load-shedding that stopped dyeing lines mid-batch. Diesel backup was costing more per unit than the grid.

Case study
Three sheds, 212,000 sq ft of corrugated roof, and six to nine hours of monthly load-shedding that stopped dyeing lines mid-batch. Diesel backup was costing more per unit than the grid.
Structural survey of every purlin before design. East-west module layout to stay inside wind-load limits, a 1 MWh LFP bay for the dyeing lines, and zero-export control so the plant never back-feeds the feeder.
The dyeing lines now ride through outages on battery, diesel runtime is down 78%, and the plant's monthly grid bill fell by 31% in the first full quarter.

Performance
Metered AC output from the plant's monitoring platform, against the P50 forecast we committed to at design stage.
Monthly generation, MWh
Actual metered output against the P50 expected yield. Shaded area shows generation above forecast.
We stopped losing batches to load-shedding in the first month. The savings were the second surprise.
